1930s Black Glass Cameo Brooch

The lights dim, candles are lit to flicker and dance, celebrating the awakening of the night. Throughout the 1930s the silver screen continued to expose the glamour of the stars, evening wear allowed women to reveal their sensuality and sophistication as seen on the big screen. The illusion portrayed by the sweet and tidy dress of the day transformed into luxurious, floor length, bias cut gowns that molded onto the body; exposing the natural curvature of the back.Gowns were designed with unusual fabrics adorned with glass beads, and shimmering plastic sequins.

This molded black glass cameo portrays a classic style female profile. Its faceted edge glimmers, like water on the sea, acting as a prelude to the glitz and glamour of the night.

CONDITION & MEASUREMENTS

This cameo is in excellent condition. It is marked on the back "Made in Czechoslovakia". She measures 11/2" by 11/2".
