Theresa & Jerry fulfilled a lifelong dream when they opened Jardin Estate Jewelry and Antiques in May 1993 in Okanagan Falls, British Columbia, Canada.Originally from Ontario,Theresa graduated in Gemmology with honors from George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario; where she also sat her British gemmology exams earning her FGA as well as her fellowship in the Canadian Gemmological Association. Theresa continues her studies by attending seminars and reading voraciously. Theresa is on the front lines of the business dealing with the customers and daily running of the shop. Theresa and Jerry are big time animal lovers and have a rescued English Bull Terrier named Rusty. Recently Theresa has become involved with the issue of feral/free roaming horses that are in the Okanagan Valley. The winter of 2008/09 was unusually harsh and led to Theresa and Jerry rescuing four yearling horses. To learn more about Theresa's efforts with rescuing the wild horses of the Okanagan click here.

Pat has been working at Jardin Estate Jewelry and Antiques since 2004. She is the smiling face that greets you when you visit our Okanagan Falls shop.While employed in Vancouver as a social worker Pat always dreamed of working with antiques. Since retiring from that career path she followed her passion and chose to fulfill her dreams; which led her to work here at Jardins. Pat has developed a line of jewelry that she sells in the shop, she creates a unique style through the use of recycled vintage and costume jewelry pieces. Jardins also has an in store line called VIBE which she actively assists with. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, reading, volunteering, hiking, walking her dog Ruby and treasure hunting at yard sales.

Kim joined the Jardin Family in August 2009. With her came an offbeat sense of humour, a passion for all things "old", and a yearning to learn more. Kim's path has led her to work that she has spent her lifetime (so far) training for, studying at the finest flea markets, garage sales and her favorite, thrift stores. She now believes that she has found her dream job, a job that fullfills her passion for things of the past and the stories behind them. Kim would like to welcome you at Jardin's, to browse awhile, have a break with tea and a homemade scone, and then browse some more, and please share the story about the object that prompts your exclamation " I remember when....." (That's Kim's favorite part). |
