Memories arise when my senses are awoken with the scent of hairspray, perfume and a hint of cigarette smoke. Vintage costume jewelry reminds me of those smells that linger after the big good night hugs from my Mom and Dad as they would leave the house for a night out. My Mom waving good bye to my sister and I, with the light from the headlights dancing off her newly purchased Sherman rhinestone parure (brooch earrings & necklace) sending flashes of color into the night.

Ok, Ok, so maybe it wasn't quite like that but my Mom did love jewelry and she passed that fascination on to me. So step into the night with me and embrace the mystery that these wonderful jewels hold, while thinking of your own special childhood memories or make some up if your life was like mine, basically boring and normally dysfunctional.
