Dress clips were very often sold in pairs.Dating from the 1920's to the 1950's they were meant to be worn in the neckline of a dress or blouse. Small pairs would be placed one on either side of a square neckline or in the case of a plunging V-neck one large one like this would be placed in the V to accent the ladies neckline and cleavage!
For myself I like to wear these clipped to the lapel or pocket of a suit jacket. Another look is to clip them over a nice omega style necklace. That always looks stunning!
Small clips can be tucked into the watch pocket of your favourite jeans or even now adays the rolled pant leg seems to be making a come back why not clip one on the top of the roll? Let your imagination go wild and look for creative and unique ways to display your jewelry, HAVE FUN WHILE LOOKING FABULOUS!
This dress clip is a real beauty and it is nice and large! Not for the shy and meek, this will get you lots of compliments!
It features marcasites and two french jet square stones in a gold
toned metal. Measuring a generous 2 5/8" by 1 7/16" at its widest point, and in excellent
condition, it does not have any missing stones etc. This grand dame suffers just a bit of gold loss to the clip at the
back but the front is perfect, just waiting to earn you all those compliments you so deserve!
